Movie Night Get Together

Movie Night

For our movie night project we did to switch the movie from “Office Space” to “The Lion King” because we were not able to find movie “Office Space” to watch. We decided as a group to meet in Tortuga lobby. After much consideration we finally found an appropriate time to view it because it was very hard to line up all of our schedules to watch the movie. We watched the movie on the TV, and we borrowed a hdmi cord from the RA so that we could project it through Diana’s laptop DVD player.  Before we watched the movie we sat down with our friends and discussed what we would be talking about and what to look for when watching the movie. Our audience was fully informed that they should be looking for interpersonal conflicts between the characters, as well as within their lives.  After the movie was finished we decided on three main characters that could be best represented in our presentation. We decided on Scar, Simba and Timone and Pumba as a duo.  We then let our friends leave thanking them for showing up to watch our movie. After as a group we discussed what we would be putting into our slideshow to present to the class. We worked on it for about an hour after we watched the movie, and were able to work collaboratively on what we were going to present.  Despite the few misfortunate events we had in the beginning I believe that our movie night went off without a hitch.  It was a great movie to watch as a group and I believe we were able to get a lot of useful information.

  1. Glad you enjoyed the movie night experience after some initial trouble with movie selection, time scheduling and hdmi cords.
